Taken by Canon Powershot A60. Yay, I uploaded my entry on Wednesday! because usually I always post my entry on Thursday night or Friday morning because my husband works at home every Thursday and this computer is completely occupied from morning till evening. That's why I have to wait to post entry until he finishes his work. Good thing PP starts on Wednesday! Since few people asking what is this..This is a tea plantation. I don't really remember exactly the name of the place. I went there on 2004 with my photo hunt team.
Roadside Flower..probably that's the perfect title for this picture. I have lots of roadside pictures in my PC, but somehow, I couldn't decide which one to post in Picture Perfect. So, this morning, I took a walk with my daughter and got this idea, to capture this flower with the roadside on the background. As usual, I used my Olympus SP550UZ, edited with Picasa. Touched up only for contrast, auto color and sharpened.
When I took a walk the other day with my daughter around our neighborhood, I found a broken little birdhouse in front of our building. Here it is .... taken by Olympus SP 550 edited with Photoshop Element 6.0
This week entry, my objects are outlet plugs. the plugs help to prevent toddler from sticking their fingers and putting sharp object. Since my daughter began to crawl, I've babyproofed my house, everything!! :). You know, they always want to explore everything!!! Taken with Olympus SP550. Editing only for crop and adjust the color. For editing my pictures, I'm still using Picasa2. This picture was taken on a street art festival. I chose this picture because I love her art work (she's a street painter). It was beautiful, but I don't know if she won the festival or not. I took the picture with Samsung Digimax. So, I converted the picture into black and white version, and this is the result : I was inspired by Gary's entry to use the focal black and white tools in Picasa2, and I think this one was a perfect picture to be converted. These are the steps : - Go to "effect" tools and choose sharpen.
- Then converted to black and white.
- Choose Focal B&W because I want the painting on this picture still has color.
- Adjust the color and sharpness of the focal black and white
- Then to softened the picture, I used soft focus tools.
- click apply and save.

I had 7-8 slices of breads that already expired. So I thought rather that throw those breads to garbage, I might just gonna use it for bread pudding since I always want to make it (last bread pudding was a disaster, don't ask! ;p) This time was delicious. Even my husband almost ate the whole loaf ;). I don't really remember where I got this recipe from,so..here's the ingredients : - 7-8 slices of breads
- 1 1/4 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp vanilla essence
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 ground cinnamon
- nutmeg (optional)
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate
- 1/2 stick of butter, melted
- Preheat the oven for 350F
- Mixed all ingredients exclude the breads, then soaked the bread into milk mixture.
- Sprinkle with chocolate
- Put into the oven for 40 minutes
- Voila!

When I opened PPF blog and found out the theme of the week...aha..I had lots came across my mind. Just like everybody else, I have lots of hobbies. First, - Photography (of course..that's why I joined this group),
- Collecting Perfumes (when I was single, all I wanted to do after I got my paycheck was buy a perfume. Crazy? you tell me ;p ...it's an expensive hobby..but after I got married, I think I have another priority to buy than spend our money for perfumes..but that not stop me buying those..I still have one :))
- Art, mostly painting..such as oil painting, water color painting..but I haven't got much time to do this..
- Books...I love to read...currently, I'm reading A tree grows in Brooklyn..
- Collecting pink item :) This is the one that I'm going to show you.
I loooooooooooooooooooove pink..too bad I couldn't show you all of my pink collections since some of them are still left in my parent's house. Good thing I have a daughter right now, so I'm kinda stop buying pink for me since 16 months ago. Why? because baby's stuffs are darn cuter than woman's stuff.. :) that's why My baby has a lot of pink clothes :P. but you know. once in while I'll buy one or two items...my favorite pink is My Zune. My husband gave it to me. He knows I love pink and he waited until Zune came out with Pink Limited Edition...so sweet :). enough said, here's my picture of the week : Camera : Olympus SP550 Join the fun HERE!

Recipe Courtesy Alton Brown 2 large eggs 3/4 cup milk 1/2 cup water 1 cup flour 3 tablespoons melted butter Butter, for coating the pan Filling : Nutella & Strawberries :) YummO! In a blender, combine all of the ingredients and pulse for 10 seconds. Place the crepe batter in the refrigerator for 1 hour. This allows the bubbles to subside so the crepes will be less likely to tear during cooking. The batter will keep for up to 48 hours. Heat a small non-stick pan. Add butter to coat. Pour 1 ounce of batter into the center of the pan and swirl to spread evenly. Cook for 30 seconds and flip. Cook for another 10 seconds and remove to the cutting board. Lay them out flat so they can cool. Continue until all batter is gone. After they have cooled you can stack them and store in sealable plastic bags in the refrigerator for several days or in the freezer for up to two months. When using frozen crepes, thaw on a rack before gently peeling apart.

Lately, we've been going to the library twice every week. I had never been to the library in my area before, and since there's a baby story telling time, so I brought my baby 3 months ago to that event and we've been a member of that events since then. And also the one that make me keep coming back is they have lots of new books and most best seller books. That's why I love to go to that place lately. This week, I borrowed 2 books; one is Kinsella's and the other one is Cabot's book. Finally I can start to read again since 2 years ago I stopped doing it since I was busy taking care of this lil one.
This is my first picture since I join Fotofriday . The pic was taken in SeaWorld, San Diego. It's Shamu or The famous Killer Whale or some people say Orca. The show was great! I haven't seen such a big fish can jump and do some attractions. I love the splash of the water... Orca is the largest species of the oceanic dolphin family. Wild Orcas are usually not considered a threat to humans. Orcas are highly social; some populations are composed of matrilineal family groups which are the most stable of any animal species.
